Beady Giveaway

I've had some time today to load up my photos (which it seems like I took ages ago LOL), name them and then add my prices to my excel spread sheet, blimey its exciting around here! Next step is to upload them all onto my website and onto Flickr. I am nearly up to date with Flickr, my plan is upload all my current photos and then as I make and take so to speak I will upload onto Flickr first - its a bit quicker than Mr Site who runs my website. However, I cannot complain as Mr Site has served me very well and has been a good (and cheap) introduction to having a webite.

Anyhows, I digress........finally I have uploaded the photo of the charm bracelet I made with the gorgeous teal beads decorated in fine lilac stringer which I bought from the very talented bead maker Laura Sparling - that lady must have such a steady hand! I told you about the bracelet ages and ages ago and here it is........

Have you noticed though, the glaring error?.........it has no name.

Its got to that time of the weekend when I have had a glass of red (yes just one this evening) and my brain has given up for the night. So, the solution I have decided, is to ask for your help.

Your task, if you wish to accept it is, to come up with a name for the charm bracelet I made with the lovely Laura's beads. Now, I would hate for you to be unrewarded for your efforts so, for the person who comes up with the best suggestion (and just so you don't all harass me for my decision I will get my BH to choose - poor chap) I will send them this very delicate bracelet made with lampwork beads by the talented Caroline Hannon (See below) to say a big thank you for their efforts. All you have to do is email me with your idea, or post below and the rest is up to him. I will get him to make a decision this Thursday (10th) evening and I will try to get the winning name on here by 10pm.

So, get your thinking caps on and see what you can come up with.

Mummy's Nuts

Don't you just love two year olds? For the past week, I've been detoxing for the last week and have been eating lots of fruit/veg and nuts. My little man keeps seeing my nuts and want some so I've been saying no they're mummy's nuts. Being the parrot that he is starting to become...every time he sees any nuts he says "mummy's nuts". Only thing is he also says it randomly at other times of the day - my inlaws think its hilarious.....its starting to wear a bit thin with me, I know I'm a bit off my rockers at times but even my own son has no cottoned on, I am beginning to think that there is no hope for me :)

My folks visited the end of last week. They were on their way home from camper vanning in Ireland. (I did try telling them Bracknell is not on the way between Ireland and Cornwall, but they wanted to see their grandson). So we did a couple of touristy things including seeing the changing of the guard at Windsor castle and a boat trip up the Thames. This photo was taken coming back down river - you kind of take it all for granted when you live near by.

On a beady note, this gorgeous bracelet is made using lampwork beads by Caroline Hannon, Sterling Silver and Karen Hill Tribe Silver beads. The beads are a lovely deep topaz base with natural toned frit on top. Hope you like.

Mummy's Nuts

See, I have not got to the stage of imagining things just yet! This is my feathered visitor - he was a bit scary flapping around! Looking in my bird book, I have decided he is a sparrowhawk, but if I am wrong please do tell me.

On a much more interesting note in my book and much easier to handle, below are a couple of bracelets I have been making, the top one features beads by Isabelle Anderson, the colours in the lampwork are just stunning.
This second one features lampwork by Caroline Hannon, the picture doesn't really to the beads justice. They are a lovely opalescent creamy yellow core encased in clear, I called this bracelet chess as the colours remind me of the squares on a chess board. Very sorry though, if either take your fancy as they have just gone to a new home.
